Responsibilities of Editors
The editors of the journal have a responsibility to check the type of the article, whether it corresponds to the objectives and volume that is envisaged by the rules of the journal. Their obligation is to evaluate the level of the article and to determine appropriate reviewers for the same. Editors have an obligation to ensure academic transparency towards the authors in the whole process of its evaluation and publication.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers have a responsibility to evaluate the article with respect to the same, honest and reliable. The reviewers are obliged to inform the editors of any possible conflict of interest with regarding to the research. They are obliged to provide honest and constructive evaluation of the article, but also to inform the editors of possible unethical behavior of the author/s.
Responsibilities of Authors:
The submitted manuscript in Mathematical Bulletin will be considered for publication if it is not already published or is not under consideration for publication in another journal. Also, the authors have the following responsibilities:
- To produce original manuscripts regarding the text, statements, pictures, graphics, data, etc.
- To cite appropriately all the papers of other authors used in the article.
- To use the instructions of the Mathematical Bulletin for writing an article.
If the article is written by multiple authors, one of the authors should be referred for correspondence. The corresponding author will be responsible during the processing of the article from the date of submission for publication until its publication, including the eventual correction of the same and submitting a revised version. The final version submitted by the corresponding author is considered a final version for publication, approved by all authors of the article.
Each co-author is responsible for the content of the article, the originality of the results and for the fact that the article is not published or simultaneously submitted for publication in another journal.
Mathematical Bulletin will immediately dismiss an article, if it is found that are violated the following ethical norms:
- Fabricating data
- Multiple publication
- Overlapping of articles
- Selective announcement of facts
- Deceitful conduct
- Inadequate contribution of the author
- Courtesy of authorship
- Manipulation of the citation
- Not reporting of financial support for publication
- Non-disclosure of conflicts of interest
Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest exists if the research is influenced by factors such as unacceptable financial or personal relationships. Mathematical Bulletin will immediately reject the papers that will be proven to have plagiarism and auto-plagiarism.
Corrections of errors; retractions, etc.
If the author reveals a significant error in his/her work, he has an obligation to inform the chief editor and to cooperate in the process of correcting or withdrawing the article.
If a reader finds a remarkable error or inaccuracy in an article, he/she should file complaints to the journal on the following e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org. We encourage the readers to submit justified complaints with intention to improve the journal.
Independence of editorial decisions
Mathematical Bulletin provides that any commercial revenues would not affect the editorial policy and the procedure for the publication of the papers.
